2 months ago Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant of Gillian Hayes Property Letting twice now - once nearly 20 years ago and more recently in 2025/2026. Trying to find a rental property in the current market is extremely difficult and stressful, but they were extremely professional, helpful and so pleasant to deal with. It made the whole process much better. They also have a useful portal for requesting and tracking repairs if needed. We had one or two urgent ones and they had someone out to repair them straight away, which was really efficient. I would highly recommend this letting agent to all prospective landlords and tenants.

On our most recent move, they really went the extra mile to help us find a place that ticked all our boxes, and we couldn’t be happier with the result. Any time something needed attention, they responded quickly and professionally. I’ve heard mixed stories from others about their experiences with **different** letting agencies, but ours has been nothing but positive — which is why I can confidently recommend Wexford Lettings. 7 months ago Fantastic experience: The rental market in Ireland is currently a total disaster, and it's near impossible to find a place to rent anywhere. I think Gillian and her team are doing the best they can in this situation, trying to help the probably thousands of incoming requests they get. Being an active tenant of theirs, I want to share that I'm very happy with my experience so far. Maintenance matters are handled promptly and they've always been quick to respond to queries and requests. I would recommend using them over dealing directly with a landlord any day.

7 months ago Negative experience: She has no clue about rents she valued our house at 1500 we decided to rent it ourselves we got 2800 a month sea views etc modern. Clearly wants the easy wins a year later still rented but we have sold not because of rent because we now live abroad in a better country Update responseYour response perfectly illustrates the tone and attitude that made working with you impossible in the first place — deflective, condescending, and unprofessional. To clarify: I now live in france, not the UK but nice try with passive aggressive racist remark, and my review has nothing to do with where I live or what other services I’ve reviewed — it’s about your inaccurate rental valuation and dismissive manner. The property was rented privately for €2,800 per month, not €1,500 as you advised, and remained successfully tenanted until sold. That figure speaks for itself. If you’d focused more on accuracy and professionalism rather than attempting to psychoanalyse clients online, you might find more positive feedback. A genuine professional would have simply acknowledged the mistake rather than resorting to personal digs.

I was quite surprised to receive your review at 1 a.m. on a Sunday morning, especially as our brief interaction took place over five years ago. At that time, it became clear that we weren’t going to be a good professional fit and I advised you to work with another agent, which you chose to do.
It’s also noticeable that you’ve left a number of one-star reviews for other Irish professional services, which suggests that things may not have worked out as you had hoped — both with the letting you arranged yourself and later with the legal process involved.
Nevertheless, I wish you well and hope you’ve now settled happily back into life in the UK, and that things go more smoothly for you there.

8 months ago Negative experience: Hello . Im not one to write reviews or run people down but I feel like this needs to be said . I’m not happy with my experience with this letting agents . I’ve applied for around 6 or 7 apartments on daft with Gillian Hayes asap in the last two months and I keep getting turned down for viewing .I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. It’s so hard because it’s the only affordable letting agents in Wexford and how do they except young people to move out and get their own places , when they aren’t even giving a chance . I just don’t think it’s right . I rang up about an apartment I was really interested in and the woman told me that the landlord wasn’t ready for viewing yet and that’s understandable but later that same day the apartment was sold.

While we do our very best in these challenging circumstances, the wider issue can only be addressed by the Minister for Housing and local County Councillors, who are in a position to make the changes that are urgently needed.

Writing on behalf of my family who have had a very difficult time with the company upon leaving the property. Contradicting information provided regarding return of deposit and withholding deposit without an explanation or contact. They have made numerous calls and tried to contact the agency in every way possible but it is impossible to get in touch with them for weeks. They fulfilled every request and requirement that was stated by the agency. They were promised a return of deposit after property inspection and have not heard back.

We are sorry to hear that you feel dissatisfied with your experience. We would like to take this opportunity to clarify the circumstances surrounding the return of your family’s security deposit.
As outlined clearly in the tenancy agreement and reiterated on numerous occasions—both verbally and in writing—we informed the tenant more than ten times that the deposit would not be refunded. This was due to two key breaches of the lease:
Early termination of the fixed-term contract, which is clearly outlined prior to the signing of the agreement.
Failure to return the property in a clean and acceptable condition, as documented during the final inspection.
These matters were communicated in advance of the tenancy ending, and the reasons for withholding the deposit were provided directly to the tenant. Our records show that all correspondence was responded to in a timely manner and that our position remained consistent throughout.
We appreciate that moving out can be stressful, but our responsibility is to uphold the terms of the tenancy agreement for both tenants and landlords. In this case, the deposit was retained in line with those terms and with the information provided to the tenant well before the move-out date.

5 years ago Fantastic experience: I stayed from july 2019 to june 2020 in one of the apartments letted by the agency in keywest. It was a very nice experience. The staff at letting agency is fully professional, responsive and friendly. The apartment at keywest was very good, good location and furnished. My daughter and wife also enjoyed the stay and location for being centre in the town. I will fully recommend the services of the letting agency and will give 5 out of 5 stars.

6 years ago Fantastic experience: Dealing with Gillian has been an absolute pleasure. Our family moved to Wexford in August, and we were immediately stressed out with how difficult it was to find a house close enough to town that would accommodate our needs and our budget. A friend recommended Gillian, and as soon as we spoke to her she started finding places for us to look at, taking into consideration our budget, space needed, proximity to work and schools in the area. Any queries we have had are always dealt with and sorted out immediately. 6 years ago Fantastic experience: When we landed in Wexford, we had a B&B to go to. The whole family and the belongings. We then hit every single agency in Wexford, not finding anything available, and if we did find something it was way overpriced. When we got to Gillian Hayes we weren't expecting much, but Gillian and Des went over and above to find us a place, within our radius we were looking for, big enough for the family, and within our price range we requested. 6 years ago Fantastic experience: I think it is the best real estate agency in Wexford town. I have the experience of another agency in Gorey ... and nothing in common. I am a tenant and they had gave me an excellent treatment. Gillian is very clear and transparent with the contract, and very nice is well. I definitely recommend this real estate agency!

7 years ago Fantastic experience: It was great dealing with Gillian Hayes Properties, I found them to be quick in their response, on time and great mediators between the tenants and owners. When we needed to move due to personal health concerns even when it was just a few months in the contract they assisted us with the whole process and placed us in another of their properties. They take great care with what they do, and I will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a property in their vicinity.

7 years ago Fantastic experience: We have been dealing with Gillian and her staff for approximately 13 years now. Our interaction has zig zagged from rare contact, when things were quiet to constant contact when our property demanded it. The last 10months have been extremely hectic. On going calls, texts and emails. The volume of work undertaken by Gillian and her staff, Des in particular was fairly monumental. It's hard to describe how much work they did on our behalf. As we are not located locally Gillian Hayes were our eyes, ears and contact in situ. We are so so grateful and could not recommend this business enough.

7 years ago Fantastic experience: This is the best letting agency we have ever used!! They are professional, understanding, proficient, and patient. When we first moved to Ireland from America, Gillian and her staff came to our rescue and helped us with finding just the right home. We had no issues at all signing up with them and they provided us with top notch service. During our tenancy they were quick to respond to our requests and were extremely fair with us. If we are ever in need of housing again, we will without a doubt give them a ring. Thank you guys for being the best in Wexford!

8 years ago Fantastic experience: Gillian and her team found us a brilliant property in Blackwater (usually people aren't keen on dogs but Gillian found us a the perfect place, exactly what we needed) They were always very accommodating when we contacted them and they always tried to work around our schedules when we were busy moving houses . We have been renting properties for about 10 years now from various estate agents, but Gillian's team were very professional, very prompt to get back to us and most of all, very friendly.High recommend them!
