Fantastic experience: Ciaran and team did an excellent job in managing the sale of my late mother's home. The brief was quite a bit more extensive, as I live in the US and needed to rely on DNG for additional support, over and above just managing the sale. Through their rental management service, they arranged all repairs that needed to be carried out prior to putting the home on the market. They also arranged to have the home cleared of its contents immediately prior to closing, as well as keeping an eye on the property for the duration of the sale. I would have no hesitation in recommending DNG Kilkenny, they were friendly, courteous and extremely professional throughout the process.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and rude! As a working professional, who has been involved in the sale of two houses, I am utterly shocked and appalled by the treatment we received after buying our house in Kilkenny from these auctioneers. Extremely unrealistic timelines provided to us regarding move in dates and no updates during the 2 month wait regarding exchange of keys. We were disgusted by the lies told about contents being included after we insisted on a list of contents included with the sale. Our concerns were met with a raised voice from the Auctioneer, much to our surprise. The typical process of viewing the house on the day keys are exchanged, called a ‘walk through’ in the business, was refused and we had to collect the keys through a solicitor. We were very let down by the lack of support and information provided throughout the long 6 month process from sale agreed to keys. It is rare to see such a display of disregard for the customer. The market is heated but that is no excuse for such poor performance and communication. I would strongly advise to look elsewhere.

Negative experience: Worst experience ever. The Bank wouldn't accept the way she did the report and she ignored both us and the bank. She thinks she's smarter than everyone. Got delayed weeks because of her. Find someone else to do the valuation report when you buy a house

Positive experience: Well, I'm very well aware of the burden that a Real Estate has, especially in times of extreme housing crisis. But overall I do not believe that having a place to stay should be an accomplishment in the XXI century in a "first world country". So I would like to thank DNG for helping us finding a place to stay. But, at the same time I do not feel like it should be such an achievement for me, or anyone else indeed. Real Estate companies should not have to define criteria to choose who is going to be accepted in a house when there are thousands of applicants that have the SAME EXACT right to the home. That should be a matter of public safety. I do not believe that to bear this burden is fair both to the company, its employees and the people in search of a home. The housing system is predatory and houses are treated as financial assets rather than homes. Which means that once you find a house to lease, you are never going to feel really safe. I come from a different culture. in Italy, home is ACTUALLY a Right. People that own a home do not own an asset, they own a socially useful property. The social good being not being homeless. Tenants of a home have contracts that PROTECT them AS MUCH as they protect the owner. And this is the normal in every civil developed country on this planet, maybe besides Ireland, the UK and the US. The financialization of real estate has meant that I have to pay the same price I would pay for a large apartment in the CENTER of Paris, only I pay it in a suburb of Kilkenny, where the Municipality doesn't even bother removing dead rats from the streets where children play... At the same time, the leasing contract and their terms and conditions are what I would define BARBARIC and primitive. It seems that, by the law, the tenant is almost considered a sub-human dweller of the house-financial-asset. There are no real protections for me nor my partner. Which means that in Ireland, you officially do not have the right to a home, unless you are an owner. If you are not, you are legally treated as a lesser being, which (I'm well aware) is consistent with the chronic classism of English speaking cultures... Not what I would define civil in a place that is theoretically part of the European Union. So overall, I do not burden DNG for this big, systemic, complex societal issue. They were efficient and supportive. But I do not feel like this is a correct state of affairs in a so called "advanced democracy".

Fantastic experience: Have recently purchased a new property and Ella completed the valuation for us. We had a few issues with our Bank which in turn caused some headaches for Ella and I cannot recommend her enough. I had to make numerous phone calls and nothing was ever a problem. Ella was courteous, professional and always diligent when it came to any requests. If I could have provided 6 stars I would have. Highly highly recommend.

Negative experience: Worst agency to rent from them. They don't answer, very lazy, and interfere if ppl who rent from them chose their own roomates in share accomodations. I had references from job and 4 landlords for 6 years, but not from last one, because there was conflict of interest ( heating wasn't on for 3 weeks in February, landlord moved to moms house and left tenants freezing), and they stalled me for a month, without reason, didn't answer on my e mails etc. And i had agreed to rent share room with a lady, and ended up on a street, because of them not answering. Avoid. Ppl day they are good, but maybe just for selling, and on this market with seriousl apartment and house deficiency, u don't have to be a wizard to sell.
