Conveyancing process was incredibly long and tedious due to complexities with the paperwork, but the team communicated well throughout and chased where needed, and were very helpful with organising repeat visits to the property and suggestions for modernization.

Fantastic experience: I purchased a house through Kavanagh Estates. I was very impressed with them. When I turned up the viewing, it was a private viewing which was great. Aine showed me the house and gave me a lot of time to see. I could ask a lot of questions which was fantastic. They were on the ball to keep in touch with the vender and I during the process. Lisa and Aisling were also very nice. When I collected the key at their office, they gave me a bottle of wine. That was a super nice touch. A lot of people say bad things about estate agencies in general however, they were not like that at all.

Fantastic experience: I'm a customer of Kavanagh Estates. They've been my letting agent for over 15 Years. I've never had any problems. They're always very professional and prompt in their response. They organise everything, from the lease to the property inventory. Inspections are carried out on the rental property (to make sure the property is well maintained) and a report issued which highlights any issues with the property. From getting reminders about registering for the RTB to having problems in the house repaired, nothing is ever a problem for them. I'd happily recommend Kavanagh Estates to anyone looking for a letting agent.

Negative experience: I had an awful upsetting experience that I can only talk about now. I rented at the beginning of the pandemic with them and had been renting for 3 years in the same house with them previously with never a missed payment as it was through standing order every month. In 2020, the rent was due to be raised during the time the then Taoiseach Varadkar had put a freeze on rent increases and Aisling insisted we pay the increase on the day it was going through the Seanad (26th March) with it to come into affect on 27th March. I only wished to query/inform her of the freeze and she said by email if I cant afford my rent that I should present to social welfare for assistance. I didn't say I would not pay it, but that is what I got. When people were losing their jobs and family members to Covid and huge uncertainty, this business was very cold hearted and horrible to deal with and only cared about money. I then did further research into the property I rented from them and it wasn't even registered with the PRTB!! So they were breaking the law too. They changed their tune a bit when I brought this to their attention. When I moved in there was no electricity and the house was filthy. Delighted to have moved away from having to deal with awful people like this. But I will never forget how small I felt that day, on maternity leave with a tiny baby in my arms, unsure about my own job and losing loved ones and Aisling telling me to go to social welfare for querying with her a national rent freeze during one of the worst events in our history. Absolutely shocking. Avoid

Negative experience: Hadn't got the manners to answer the phone so sent an email still hadn't the manners to reply back waste a time they are avoid them better people to deal with in the gorey area than these wastes of time

Fantastic experience: The women in Gorey Property Lettings are absolutely fantastic. I signed my third lease with them. I also approached them with a few questions non-related to the rented property (but related to a property I own & looking to sell) - I have to say (hands down) they have been extremely helpful with answering those questions. I would highly recommend Gorey Property Lettings if anyone is renting out a property. They absolutely take the stress and pain out of anything property related.
