Negative experience: Extremely Disappointed – A Dream Turned Into a Nightmare What was supposed to be a dream come true—buying my first home—turned into an absolute nightmare with this estate agency. From the beginning, they were dishonest and unprofessional. First, they failed to disclose important information about a qualification on the title. I had no idea what that meant, and it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the property description. Only after my solicitor flagged it did I begin to understand the issue. I emailed the agency to ask for clarification, and they told me the owner would explain it and call me. That call never came. I chased them several times, and every time I was told, “She will call you.” It never happened. They completely ignored me. I have never been treated like this in my life. I wasn’t buying clothes—I was buying a home. It’s a huge decision, and I deserved to be informed and respected. Their customer service is absolutely appalling—if I could rate it -100, I would. Although I considered cancelling the purchase, I had already spent money on the technical survey and other costs, so I decided to move forward. When I finally got the keys, I expected the house to be empty, especially since tenants had been living there before. But to my shock, the house was a disaster. It was filthy, nothing like the condition I saw during the viewing. The tenants had left behind all their belongings and tons of rubbish. I had to spend a lot more money than expected to clean and repair the place. I even had to hire a skip to throw away the previous tenants’ junk, and rent a truck to remove mouldy, broken furniture and mattresses. I spent the entire first week just cleaning up someone else’s mess. The agency didn’t even bother to check the property after the tenants left—truly poor service. One month later, I started working on the garden, which had grass nearly a meter high. That’s when I found dead rats and more rubbish hidden throughout the overgrown yard. It was absolutely disgusting. I emailed the agency to complain, saying I bought a house—not a dump—but they never replied. I have now spent over €1,500 just removing waste, and they couldn’t care less. I would never recommend this agency to anyone. If you're buying your first home, please be careful. Find an agency that actually cares about their clients and respects the importance of buying a home. Don’t let your dream become a nightmare like mine. They treated me like I was nothing. Complete disrespect.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with this real estate agency. Their communication and negotiation were extremely poor throughout the process. When we finally got the keys and entered the house we had purchased, it was completely shocking. The property was in awful condition, had broken furniture everywhere, and personal belongings like clothes and accessories from the previous owners were still inside. It was nothing like the condition we saw when we first visited before buying. It honestly felt like nobody from the agency even checked the house before handing us the keys. We had to spend over €800 to hire a truck to remove all the broken furniture ourselves, and everything was destroyed before we could even move in. I requested to them refund of this amount, they did not even pay me back. They only arranged one skip and we need another one, where my husband requested another one and they did not even reply him. It took us two full days to clear everything out, and even then, the professional cleaner we paid for couldn’t finish cleaning the house in a single day due to how bad it was. We paid 2 professional cleaners and the garden is absolutely terrible - A LOT PERSONAL BELONGS THERE!!!! we are in shock! And is being a month and the last tenant did not cancel his bins, I called 4x for the company and is still here. My family is coming to visit my son and I am shamed of this place. It was an incredibly stressful and disappointing experience, we have a little baby and there are a lot stuff here in the house do not belong us and is not even properly good for use. I would not recommend this agency to anyone!!!!!!!!

Negative experience: Posted a comment on their FB page today stating how my husband and I are still recovering financially due to the shambolic "management" of our properly in Carlow and how Caroline denied all culpability. It was swiftly removed. Didn't even have the manners or professionalism to take our calls when we were with them.Years of stress and worry coupled with sleepless nights while her pockets are lined. I have pictures of our propety and all correspondence for you to view.

Negative experience: Accidentally transferred almost 2 thousand euro to them, when messaged I was left on read several times. Then I was replied to and it took 2 months to get some of my money back. After I provided proof I was sent a cheque for half as John decided to ignore the second half of the proof. He decided to print my bank statement and staple the 2 pages together then took one page away to try hide the proof.

Fantastic experience: My parents used CBPM real estate when we first moved to portlaoise. Basically it was as they asked what kind of house we were looking for, in or out of town, what we needed in the house and our budget. We made one trip down from newbridge to see two house's. Negative experience: I was a client of this company for 7 years. The last tenant moved out leaving a broken window. The tenant had signed up to the Residential Lease Agreement which has a clause stating the tenant is required " To replace broken glass in doors and windows damaged during the tenancy" CBPM failed to enforce this rule, and therefore I used a portion of the tenants deposit to replace the broken panel. CBPM have failed to support me after several requests, after the tenants incredibly involved the RTB for recovery of their deposit.
