Negative experience: I would not recommend this estate agency. Unfortunately, they have been very unhelpful whenever we have needed assistance. The wall at the entrance to our house was broken and full of damp for over a year, and despite repeatedly raising the issue, nothing has been done about it. On top of that, Jennifer was one of the rudest and most unprofessional people I have ever had to deal with. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Negative experience: I’m not sure if this is intentional and if there are actual humans running this company. This is the worst customer service I’ve had in years; the staff seem to have trouble reading basic English. They are rude and arrogant, and it’s clear they go out of their way to avoid working while trying to provoke you. They ignore emails, forget to respond, and force you to contact them multiple times, only to lie and contradict themselves every single time. Honestly, I feel sorry for anyone using their services. I’m just glad I’ll never have to deal with this "company" again. I still have no idea what service they actually provide; I certainly couldn’t find any evidence of it.

Fantastic experience: At least in my situation, I was very well attended to; they resolved 100% of the problems I presented, and at a very reasonable speed.

Fantastic experience: I rented an apartment managed by 1st Choice Property, and my experience was fantastic. Excellent communication, very supportive team, and at the moment of move out I had zero problems getting back the deposit and having enough flexibility with the timing and dates.

Even from my brief meeting with Joy, this is evident and pardon the pun but, she is a joy to deal with. Negative experience: I actually feel bad for the landlords who are using this agency to rent their properties! Big zero in customer services, complicated moving in and out and zero maintenance. Won’t recommend it to anyone and definitely will be my last experience with them.

Negative experience: I couldn't recommend this company. They are meant to do 4 inspections per year. None were done at all on our property. This is fact and they never proved otherwise. Our property was left in a very bad state. We've had it all fixed now. We have numerous before and after photos dated to show this. Despite advising the property would be available many months in advance prior to renting, it wasn't untill a couple of weeks of the start date that they had found tenants. Honestly, look elsewhere, they happily take your money but based on our experience, there must be better out there.

Negative experience: I contacted the office to ask them to open the door because I had a delivery, but unfortunately, they refused to open it and hung up the phone on me. This behavior is unacceptable and unprofessional, especially since I’m a tenant and expect respectful and cooperative treatment in such simple matters. I hope they improve the way they deal with tenants in the future. Don’t come around the office

Negative experience: First Choice left a leak from our bathroom into hall carpet unaddressed for more than 3 weeks!! As a result of the hall carpet being saturated by this leak over an extended time, it absolutely reeks, despite every our every effort to clean and dry. First Choice will not even entertain the idea of replacing the carpets. A common theme for all our maintenance requests over the years. An absolutely abhorrent company to deal with.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience renting a house for my family and me with 1st Choice. Jennifer and David were very supportive from our initial interactions and helped us secure a cozy, newly renovated place in County Cork. I would highly recommend this agency to anyone.

Negative experience: For more than one month, the entrance to our apartment complex has been wide open, so that anyone can just walk in. This is clearly a huge security risk. First Choice who manage this building won't take any accountability, and keep coming up with excuses such as waiting for a part. Their representatives are very unhelpful, with zero customer service skills!

Negative experience: This company suddenly withdrew our residents parking space as alleged retaliation for us opening a case with RTB regarding their failure to address water leaks, and several other maintenance items in our apartment. Incidentally First Choice have been charging 123 monthly for 8 years, on top of the rent. Initially they lied, stating our landlord needs the space. I checked this, and proved that this was a complete lie. They actually admitted that they lied (by email) and went on to say they’re revoking my space, because they “want to give it someone else” and that they can “rent the space to whoever they see fit” All my payments were up to date for the parking space, and no valid reason was offered for revoking my residents parking, so I can only form an opinion that this was alleged RETALIATION for me opening a case with RTB about failure of First Choice to address a list of outstanding maintenance issues in my building. Disgraceful organisation. Their director David has behaved in a truly rude and disgraceful manner.

Negative experience: The employees of this letting agency have a terrible attitude. I was spoken to in an shockingly rude manner when I asked a simple question about utilities.

Negative experience: Good luck if you need any work done in your dwelling, as this agency have a history of leaving the property in a state of disrepair. Just a few examples: - Refusing to replace old carpets which have degraded due to almost a decade of accumulated dampness caused by issues with ventilation within the property (also unaddressed) - I need to paint the apartment every year at my own expense, as they refuse to do this too. - Waiting more than 3 weeks for someone to repair a leaking ceiling, to the point where the ceiling plaster crumbled and fell!! - Failing to address drafts, which causes my utility bills to skyrocket due to heat loss through degraded seals, which they failed to replace all the years. The latest issue is that the entrance door to our apartment complex has been open for more 3 weeks now, presenting a major security risk for residents and families within the complex, as anyone can freely walk in and out of the building. These, and many other concerns are dismissed by their employees, and in an extremely rude manner!

Negative experience: If you do not want to be scammed, do not even pass through the door of this company

Negative experience: Unfortunately, months have passed although I have sent dozens of e-mails, they still have not paid my deposit. You should definitely not trust any of their employees, especially Sharon M. ! First she said they would pay and then she started not to answer any of my e-mails. NEVER TRUST THESE THIEVES!

Fantastic experience: I have being looking for accommodation for while now went through agencies and had no feedback relating to getting the accomadation or not But then I rang 1st choice properties, even if the house/apartment etc has accepted offers they would look around for you and get back to you to see if you are still interested in other places that would fit your requirements Nothing I have experienced from other agencies pretty much if you dont get it then TOUGH... they want to find you a place and I highly recommend Joy in 1st choice as she is doing her best to find homes for people (including myself) 5 stars all around :)
