Fantastic experience: My five star rating requires an additional + here for Brendan's complete commitment to the sale of our house. His communication skills were excellent throughout and although, through no fault of his own, the process took longer than it should have, he stepped in regularly to keep things on track. He also recommended a really excellent accountant to assist with navigating the Capital Gain Tax maze for us. My husband will give his own review from the perspective of a man!

Positive experience: I thought I'd revisit this review as I wrote it during a stressful time. Customer satisfaction % = (reality / expectation) * 100 When dealing with Grace the reality met or exceeded my expectation of how such a business should function. (Sadly she has left) The issue there is you expect every aspect of Franklins to be the same. So the direct staff and handymen I've dealt with has normally been fine. Where it starts to get extremely annoying is having to deal with issues that the landlord (via Franklins) has to resolve. Franklins are the front to this (and has to look after their landlord), so it's understandable that frustration is pushed back on them . I've rented three times with Franklins and for major issues I am expected to chase up have always been painful. Having to check to see when someone shows up, who then doesn't show up. This can go on for months. Or having work people show up who appear so incompetent I am surprised they are still in business. The only other explanation is they are told to not to fix stuff, or maybe they are not getting paid in a timely fashion and taking it out on the person renting. But I have to put up with this and I'm expected to resolve it when I have zero control to change the situation. Of the three rentals one landlord was very unreasonable and I felt it could have all been resolved with a 5-10 minute conversation. Instead I spend weeks playing email tag with no resolution. At the time of writing this, to date I've paid rent well on time and looked after the property even when leaving. So I can attest that I have at least tried to be professional. I also have three outstanding issues, two of which I've dealt with Franklins before. The only reason I am not chasing up is because I don't have time for the months of drama and disappointment I would normally have to deal with.

Negative experience: Watch your deposit with this crowd of chancers and ask them if the property you’re paying huge rent for has Mica. Be wary of Sharon.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to sell a house in north Donegal as an executor sale. I looked at a number of websites and thought Franklins looked the most professional. I contacted Franklins and explained that I was not in Donegal and needed to do as much as possible remotely. In the end I was able to do everything online with Franklins. I found Franklins to be thoroughly professional and efficient. They were also very attentive when things got delayed (through no fault of theirs). Brendan was always available and responded to queries and issues very quickly, often out of hours. I would highly recommend Brendan and Franklins if you are buying or selling property in North Donegal.

Fantastic experience: My experience renting from Franklins and dealing with Grace has been amazing. She is super friendly, helpful and very professional, I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Negative experience: From day one it was clear that there was a large ammount of laziness to the team. Even from the day of the viewing the agent grace was on her phone the whole time. We moved into the property and on the second day reported that the boiler was faulty. They left us for months with no heating or hot water over winter. After leaving the property the agency stated they would return our deposit after 10 days. 23 days later we still had nothing returned to us. Upon contacting them again they said that no deposit would be returned to us. They proceeded to fabricate the reason for us leaving so that they would not need to return our deposit.

Fantastic experience: Grace has been amazing from start to finish and so has Sharon. We needed help to find a property and they were so proactive. Super friendly, nothing is ever too much and we feel that we can contact Grace with anything. Professional but personable which is so important. I highly recommend Franklins.

Fantastic experience: I would definetly recommend using Franklins Auctioneers to sell your property.From the very first call i made i was greeted with a very pleasant ,confident receptionist who took all my details . Shortly after i was contacted by one of their Sales Team who arranged to look at my property and give me a valuation. They took photographs and put together a very impressive video .It later appeared on their website, Daft .ie, their window display and Facebook. I was delighted with their marketing. It wasnt long before i had viewings and an offer. From there on in it was pretty much plain sailing. They took all the stress off me ,kept intouch with solicitors on both sides and were always available to give me friendly advice should i need it. I would have no hesitation in using them again .

Fantastic experience: I have had, and I am currently having a great experience renting through Franklin's Estate Agents. Having rented for years I know of the troubles tenants can endure due to bad rental management and I can honestly say I have never had such a smooth and pleasant experience renting a new home before. My partner and I began searching for our new home over the summer months and with the help of Shane and Raymond found a house which we love. From then, Sharon has been dealing with our rental and she has been so professional and helpful. Everything that we needed sorted in the house was completed the following days, inspections are quick and casual and what I am grateful for the most is always getting quick email responses from Sharon or the office. It's refreshing to be able to have a professional and friendly relationship between tenant and estate agent.

Fantastic experience: I have been renting for over ten years so I am very familiar with the ups and downs one can experience when dealing with agencies. In my case, I am giving Franklins a "5 Star" because their professionalism has been incredible. This is the second house my family and I are renting with Franklins and from day one, they have made themselves available very rapidly whenever we needed them e.g. from providing us with a new oven within two days after the other one broke down, to sorting out the repair for the washing machine the following day after we rang them. Trust me, not many agencies step to the mark once you have moved into the rental accommodation, however Franklins has proven reliable on numerous occasions. What makes the difference to me between a "4 star" and a "5 star" is the fact that their staff has been so friendly with my family at any times since we have relocated to set up roots in Donegal. Our big move has been challenging but Franklins' dedication to us as tenants and their efficient property management have been brilliant!

Negative experience: Charging double bedprices for only a single bed , door handles that fall off when used , constant broken showers , elevators that dont work , landlords that look at your messages and dont even bother to respond , forcing tenants to switch rooms to make way for other clients that can't stay in the same apartment with other men because of strict parents not to mention the Franklin's choose the most expensive electricity provider aprox 400 500 euros a year more expensive than other providers for it's student accommodation all my friends in other properties run by the Franklin's had all the above issues aswell. If you wanna be overcharged , scammed and treated badly then this is the company for you , if you're intelligent run away.

Negative experience: I would very rarely go for writing reviews unless it is exceptionally good or exceptionally bad and this agency is exceptionally bad. You would definitely not like to go to such unprofessional people. Just notice that their prices so higher than others. Not only that they will make you feel like you are a beggar and they are a king. Employees (and boss) will behave weird if you have called them after hours [something like, how dare you call me this time ] and not even politely say to speak tomorrow. Yes, just a blatant hang up. If you trust yourself, you can find better price, better house by your own. Contact directly the landlord. Now, since you respect yourself and can find deals on your own, You don't need Franklin!

Negative experience: I have never dealt with a more unprofessional firm than Franklins Estate agents in Letterkenny. The staff are unhelpful, and show no interest whatsoever in helping a tenant find or help solve any sort of accomodation issues that they may have. Not only that, but they cut corners to justify their own questionable actions by writing lies to justify their own paperwork. I must also add that the estate agent Sharon is very rude, and condescending. Avoid at all costs.
