Negative experience: We had a dreadful experience with Sherry FitzGerald Dunshaughlin when purchasing a property in Kelletts Grove, Dunshaughlin, and want to share our experience so others can go in with eyes open. Last year, after viewing the property and going through the full bidding process, we went sale agreed — despite the price rising significantly. Just a day after receiving confirmation, we got a call saying “the seller might want €5K more”, even though our offer had already been accepted. We found this very unprofessional and refused to increase the offer. When contracts arrived, they included a clause stating that if the seller didn’t find a new home within four months, the sale would be cancelled. We raised concerns straight away, as this made the contract effectively meaningless. We were reassured it was just a misunderstanding and that it would be fixed. The updated contract then came back with a confirmed move-in date in November, so we proceeded in good faith — signing contracts, paying our solicitor for searches, and transferring the 10% deposit for the house, in addition to over €11,000 held by Sherry FitzGerald in trust. That’s when everything fell apart. Calls and emails went unanswered for weeks, and our solicitor couldn’t get a response. Our funds were effectively held in limbo for nearly two months before we discovered — only by physically visiting their office — that the seller had pulled out of the sale entirely. We later learned that this same property had gone “sale agreed” multiple times before with other buyers, all ending in similar circumstances. Despite assurances that they were “disappointed with the seller” and wouldn’t relist it, the property is now back on the market for the third time — at almost the same price we had previously agreed. This experience cost us thousands of euro in legal fees and caused huge stress. While we understand agents can’t control every seller, the lack of transparency, communication, and accountability throughout this process was completely unacceptable. Hopefully this helps others proceed with caution when dealing with this office.

Negative experience: Sabrina was a nightmare to deal with in the end .,, when we started our journey to buy trinity haus Sabrina was nice enough, but when we went sale agreed finally, being the highest bidder Sabrina went toxic!! Demanding all sorts of things , even treating to withdraw the sale ,, when in fact we we’re all ready to proceed but the guy who lived in the house dragged it out for months,, we eventually had to get Padric sherry involved,, it was dragged out so long we had to move out of our home to let our buyer in as we had agreed a date for them ,but you lot couldn’t get our vender out !!!!!! This was one week before Christmas that year ,, then the house went on fire and you hadn’t got the empathy to ring us and see how we were ,only for mr sherry we would have homeless , sabina your not a nice person,, you left us high and dry !!!!
