Negative experience: Found Colm to be very rude over the phone and dishonest with his advert. The AMV was 30 grand off the secretive reserve that was never stated. Once I won the auction I was called up and informed Colm had called the underbidder after auction to try and get a higher bid. I'm sure he would still expect us to go through the auction process if we won even after adding a private treaty style bidding war after auction. Overall horrible experience with Colm and Remax and I won't be dealing with them again.

Fantastic experience: We approached REMAX Galway in the first week of December 2020 regarding selling a property Colm Ruane was our first point of contact he was very pleasant to speak to on the phone, So we agreed that he would come out and view the property and value it and discuss how to market it and their terms and conditions of sale After meeting with Colm we knew straight away we were dealing with a very professional auctioneer so we advised him to sell the property for us, we gave him the keys and left it In his capable hands and he went and listed the property on December the 9th the following day he advised me that he had 2 viewings organised there was quite a few viewings after that and he kept us informed at all times, And on the 21st of January sale was agreed and February 24th contracts were signed to our satisfaction.
