Fantastic experience: Excellent service and fast repliers. They helped me go through the entire process to start the tenancy and get all services working before moving in. Tenancy contract details were clear and had enough time to review it before signing.

Negative experience: M & C were in charge of Mullan Mor estate in Galway up till recently. Damaged caused by storm to roof of several units not repaired. Significant damaged caused to vehicles of multiple residents from loose tiles, told it's not there problem after originally been told they would check with insurers. Broken tiles, broken glass scattered over walkways and parking spots several weeks after storm, dangerous conditions. Residents have to use these walkways, pets are this area, vehicles have to park in this area. I made several complaints about these issues, several weeks later M & C resign as management company for estate. Non of issues were addressed, not even an apology for delay. Response from M & C was to contact new management company despite issues arising and reported during M & C tenure as management company. Very disappointing service provided.

Negative experience: These guys are in charge of Glantan apartments and they don't care about the rats running around the bin areas. They are doing nothing to clean it up and stopping people from dumping rubbish in the area. Anyone can come by and dump rubbish as there's no cameras or gates for the bins.

Negative experience: Have been asking for months and months to get the bin area sorted in an estate that M&C Property manage. The residents have been ignored, the rubbish problem has been getting worse and worse. Rodents, filth, dirt everywhere. This is how the properties that they manage are looked after. Disgraceful.

Negative experience: Genuinely one of the most incompetent companies I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Have lived in the Bastion Court apartments, Athlone for the last 3 years, and this management company has been nearly impossible to deal with. The block manager, Ciara, refuses outright to have any contact with residents and they’re currently blocking all work from taking place on balconies in these apartments. The balconies on all apartments in Bastion Court are a safety hazard and all residents have been advised not to use them by M&C property. The residents were notified about this in July ‘23 and absolutely no work has taken place on them since. Residents are given absolutely no information or dead line as to when work is to begin or end - only told ‘you’ll be notified when we no more’. As I’ve mentioned, an absolutely horrific company to deal with, avoid rental properties under their management at all costs.

Negative experience: Absolute joke of a Renting company. I rented from the student apartments in Athlone and they were atrocious at replying to my emails in a timely manner. We had a huge problem with black mould in the apartment and all they did to fix it was remove it with mould spray. We only got something done when we kept pestering them about it and threatened legal action, they gave us dehumidifiers for it then Not to mention the fact that my apartment got broken into TWICE in the space of 5 months. I had so much stolen from me and the only thing they did to “fix” this was replace the handles on the windows. No security put in whatsoever, biggest joke is that the one security camera that they have around the apartment blocks doesn’t work and didn’t catch the people that broke into my apartment. Along with this, I asked if I could move out of the apartment early because I didn’t feel safe in the apartment anymore and asked if i could get the deposit back early which they said wasn’t a problem. I moved out the end of march and still haven’t received my deposit, it had been 3 months of me constantly emailing them and I was told twice that I would have it “by early next week”. Absolute disgrace of a property company.

Fantastic experience: M&C has been wonderful on my tenancy initiation. From viewing to occupancy, from swift responses in emails to addressing the asks in the property before moving in , they have been so supportive. It is true you cannot reach agents directly in this COVID time but with this responsiveness on emails, that was not a concern. In my case they have addressed most of stuff and the ones that could not be addressed immediately, they have asked me to change and promised adjustments on consecutive monthly rents after talking to landlords. I would want to mention Brian Purcell for his professional work (including late evening responses to mails) and Andrea Lawler for hopping down personally to resolve when I had access issues. Happy with the services of M&C ! Keep up good work!

Negative experience: We rented an apartment through M&C a few years back. Very poor service. We had an issue with mold that was not dealt with despite us notifying them weeks in advance of us going on a 2 week holiday where they would have access to the property to deal without anyone being there. We arrived home to being told that they just had it painted and would see what happened. This was after a previous painting to cover the issue. We left that apartment within 2 weeks of that and saw that the apartment was advertised at a 33% increase. €600 to €800 per month for a 2 bedroom. I had 2 work colleagues that had similar issues in different complexs managed by M&C. And a further colleague who used them to let thier property out while they were abroad working had issues with poor maintenance. Avoid of possible.

Negative experience: M&C Management refuses to acknowledge drug abuse and violence in their buildings and apartments. Do not hand over your money to these people, they deserve to be put out of business.

Negative experience: I visited an apartment in Dublin City centre around a month ago, that is managed by M&C property. The apartment clearly needs to be renovated, with really old beds and suite. Kitchen presses were broken and bathroom walls were mouldy. Brian had offered me €1300pm for the 2 bed apartment and asked me if I had a deposit to transfer him immediately, but when I raised questions about renovating a few things in the apartment, it took him a very long time to reply to me with a response from the landlord, as if he could at least change the beds. It looks like they are lazy and weren’t interested in negotiating at all. Even though their customer service wasn’t the best, I still emailed Brian showing my interest, as the location is perfect for me. When I told him that I’d take the apartment the way it was, he replied to me saying that the landlord decided that the price was too low, again didn’t tell how much it was and didn’t try to explain why or negotiate with me. Very lazy and unprofessional. Only got back to me when I asked how much they wanted for it, with no apologies for wasting my time and making a surreal offer. They were then asking for €1800 for an apartment that needed complete renovation, when €1300 was more than enough, again no negotiation or apologies at all. I wouldn’t recommend this agency as they are very unprofessional, not willing to negotiate and terrible customer service

Negative experience: Update: sent another email like I was asked to, still no response unsurprisingly. Lazy work on their end trying to look good in the public realm. Steer clear if you can at all, I've been in contact with them to fix the main door of an apartment block for 4 months now and they have kept fobbing me off and downright lying about when it will be fixed. They're more than happy to take people's money though of course! If you have any concern at all that they are meant to manage, you'll be sorely disappointed. Avoid!

Negative experience: Reached out with follow up questions multiple times, they clearly don't read their emails as the keep sending the exact same response I had already received. I was in direct contact with an agent, the response were not automated, they were are result of lack of care and professionalism. Dont bother with them, much better options available.

Negative experience: I was left waiting for a response about a letting we were hoping to rent for over a week as the person dealing with it left office without giving us the information that a let was already agreed before he left. I understand these are strange times and people may be working from home however previous replies were made and I don't see this as an excuse. Unprofessional and somewhat rude.

Negative experience: Living in 4 countries for more than a decade and always renting has provided me a good insight and experience in dealing with agencies and landlords alike. I am aware that nowadays,with the shortage of properties available, and the demand, the lettings department, in general, is not dealt by the very best of the company, compare to sales, but the lack of respect this agency showed to me as a potential tenants and the amount of time they spend in the viewings should keep you both, tenants and landlords, away from them. Cold hearted and unproffesional are at the bottom of my long list for me. If you are a potential tenant and inmigrant,brace yourself, it is going to be though. UPDATE: don't rely on the message below saying "they are disappointed and will investigate", I gave them my email and my phone and never called back, never worried. Just ok with lookin like they do. AVOID
