Negative experience: AVOID AVOID AVOID, do not use this estate agent for tenants or landlords I've had an ongoing water pump noise problem from a tenant for over a year and the maintenance company they use are diabolical- please save your money and NEVER use this company. I would give zero stars if I could be have to give 1 star. This company is not concerned about people's pea eful occupation they only interested in your money.

Fantastic experience: My partner and I are first time buyers. In this market which is already hard, our experience sometimes hasn't been too good. From being completely ignored, to automated replies, clearly not reading emails asking the same questions to just about opening the door to let you in, some agents are lacking to say the least. However we've dealt with Brian on viewing a property in Duleek and it was the complete opposite experience. Just straight up common decency. Straightforward clear communication. Fairness. No fluffing. Just to have that clear communication alone is a great help when you're in an already tricky situation. Very much appreciated. A gentleman.

Negative experience: The worst agency ever! Agents blatantly ignore the tenant and when confronted about it they are making up rules on the spot that are not even included in the lease agreement and will do anything to avoid accountability for their own mistakes! STAY CLEAR!!!

Negative experience: We have been warned going into the market to be careful of "certain" estate agents. Turns out HJ Byrne are those stereotypical bad estate agents. We viewed a house recently in Charnwood that we were told had zero bids on it so far. When we turned up to view it, we were told that the original bid (news to us) of €480,000 was out bid to €510,000. Our proof of funds etc had us capped at €500,000. So we looked elsewhere. Today, 3 days later, we viewed Ardmore and spoke to another agent from HJ Byrne who told us that Charnwood ended up selling for €480,000. No one informed us of this change in price or that the big offer that out bid everyone, had fallen through. The house is now already off the market and it all seems a bit off from HJ Byrne. Seems like they wanted this sale to fly through. Maybe they were trying to give it to someone they know or get the business of someone else. I've also noticed (you can check this out yourself) but HJ Byrne seems to be selling all the houses in the Bray area that need a lot of work or are perfect to be used for renting or previously used for renting. At our viewing of Ardmore there were a lot of older aged single people viewing the house with expensive clothes and luxury cars who didn't look like first time buyers. SherryFits have an online portal where you can get live up dates of all the bids as they come in and they call to see if you're still interested, if you haven't been active on the app for a while.

Karen was the primary agent for us for 10 years and did the most wonderful job possible. She was also proactive, communicated perfectly, helped us every step. It was natural that when we decided to sell our apartment, we gave the mandate to HJ Byrne. Peter Walsh was our sales negiciatior and once again, everything was handle to perfection. Peter was extremely helpful, communicative and supportive. He was able to deliver the sale we wanted and insured everything was done to perfection.

Negative experience: It seems to be getting even more difficult to inform people who are desperately trying to find a home if they have or havnt been successful in trying to rent a property a simple yes or no would help a lot of people out but that seems very difficult for estate agents to be able to do

Fantastic experience: We have bought and sold houses now with Garrett and he has been a pleasure to deal with. He knows the local market and notified us of properties we might be interested in, even before they came on market. Fees were reasonable. The only point I would make, is that perhaps an investment could be made in a better camera, as HJ Byrnes pictures are not the best on the market.
