Negative experience: This is the first review I have ever written, and I felt it was such a stressful experience dealing with Eoin that I wanted to share it, as it was not what myself or my husband expected. We engaged Eoin O’Neill based on a recommendation . I initially found him to be very amicable, well-prepared and positive. His reviews were excellent on line . Unfortunately, our experience was significantly different. From an early stage, we felt there was a lack of active engagement and guidance during what became a complex and prolonged sales process. The purchasers, who initially appeared committed, delayed matters over a period of approximately seven months, repeatedly missing agreed timelines and introducing additional inspections and requests for price reductions. There were no major problems found on any of these inspections. This was done in an effort to keep renegotiating a lower price , all several months after the underbidders had moved on . Communication was often limited, with periods where we received little or no response. We did not feel that the situation was being proactively managed or that clear advice was provided on how to address the ongoing delays and changing demands. Eoin spoke to me in a disrespectful and unpleasant manner when I was concerned at lack of progress . We should have withdrawn from both the sale and his services when we saw the warning signs early on. We were told , it was all typical and to stop “harassing” him. Yes , he used this exact word . He did not engage with solicitors on either side. He acted like a messenger for the purchaser . Carrying unreasonable requests in one direction - to me. We agreed to certain reductions in good faith in an effort to progress the sale, however this led to further inspections and additional requests rather than resolution. Despite multiple timeline agreements, contracts were not signed until we indicated our intention to withdraw. During this period Eoin was unavailable, we dealt with Sean Bonner, who was responsive, pleasant to deal with and helpful. He empathised with our situation and understood completely why we were taking the decision to withdraw the sale from the market.This highlighted a contrast in our experience. Overall, the process was lengthy and stressful, and we experienced disruption and financial impact as a result. Based on our experience, we did not feel adequately supported or represented during the sale.

Fantastic experience: We recently purchased a property where Eoin O'Neill were acting as agent for the vendor, and we couldn't be more impressed with how the whole process was handled. From our very first interaction, the team were professional, responsive, and genuinely easy to deal with. Every query was answered promptly and communication throughout the sale was clear and straightforward. The transaction went through smoothly and we felt the process was managed with real care on all sides. Fantastic experience: We absolutely could not have been happier with the service provided by the team at Eoin O’Neill Property Advisers. From our initial meeting with Eoin we knew we were in the hands of a consummate professional. The apartment we were about to sell was in a good location but looking a little tired. Eoin was well informed on prices achieved in the area and, at our first meeting, provided a detailed list of equivalent properties currently on the market and those sold in the recent past. He then not only advised ways to enhance the appeal of our apartment but offered a shopping-list of services that his team had access to and could manage as part of that service. The list was comprehensive, including professional cleaners, interior designers, painter-decorators, plumbers, carpenters and staging companies. We opted for a complete make-over, and thereafter Eoin’s backroom team took over the entire management of the project. The results were amazing and completed in a timely fashion at very competitive rates. Without doubt Eoin’s suggestions increased the appeal of the apartment and most certainly had a very positive impact on the price received for the property. We could not have achieved any of this without the calm, professional and always courteous assistance of Eoin and his team (a special shout-out here for Crea!). Negative experience: My experience with Eoin O’Neill was deplorable. My husband and I emailed with Fiona Durkan with Sean Bonner as the letting agent. A viewing was scheduled for 1.40pm, I arrived two minutes early. Knocked, emailed, called with no answer. After waiting 10 minutes in January cold and rain, I left. When we were finally able to get ahold of her, Fiona’s reasoning was she didn’t inform the letting agent. A complete lack of remorse or consideration for having me show up to a viewing that didn’t ever exist. The housing market in Dublin is in crisis and letting agencies without integrity are appalling. I could not recommend this agency less.

Negative experience: What a shocking and appalling service. Took nearly 3 weeks to get the deposit back and forced us to get a "professional cleaning service" in even though we had someone clean the house the morning before we left. They will do anything to keep some of your deposit. I left like calling the Guards on Eoin for way he treated us.

Fantastic experience: Ive been privately renting my apartment for 5 years now and 2 years ago my landLord signed up with Eoin o Neill to look after everything. They have been fantastic to deal with. Crea mainly looks after things for me and I'm shocked at how quickly she gets back to emails. I've had one issues with my washing machine and someone was out the next day to have a look. I've met Eoin on two occasions and he was friendly and helpful each time. If I ever have to move I hope it will be within this agency.

Negative experience: My colleague and I went to view an apartment today after contacting Eoin through Daft. Of all the apartments and houses I've viewed in Dublin, I have never felt as unwelcome as I have dealing with Eoin O'Neill. My colleague and I arrived 5 minutes late because we had just come from viewing another apartment. We took some time to get in the gates of the estate as we had to wait for someone to come out. Upon reaching the apartment we saw Eoin coming out of the door. We introduced ourselves to him and without saying a simple 'hello' he replied with "The viewing was at 1:30, that means you should be at the gate at 1:30". We told him we were very sorry that we were late to the gate. Very little was said as we quickly viewed the apartment, the entire time Eoin was giving us death stares making us feel uncomfortable. We tried to ignore it and continue to view kitchen. After viewing the kitchen, I approached Eoin to ask what was included in the rent, he replied with "What kind of a question is that, where have you been renting?". At that point we thought it would be better to cut our losses and leave. The property we were viewing was very nice and well priced but I have no interest in dealing with this company after this experience.
