Negative experience: I got up early last Saturday morning to view two properties with Howley Souhan at the Iona. The agent was a no-show, moreover there were no other prospective buyers there so I can only assume the viewings were cancelled and I was not informed. The agent also failed to reply to my subsequent email. The housing market is pretty bleak at the moment as it is, and this sort of behaviour just adds insult to injury. Simply unacceptable. Do better.

Fantastic experience: A brilliant company to deal with..they do their very best to help and accommodate any needs.. excellent service when maintenance is needed.. would highly recommend

Negative experience: I emailed him and he answered and i get allowance about one property . I just get the money and he refused to sale the property told me that is sale agreed. And on his site the property is still for sale ! On his advert is still for sale and didn't say that is sale agreed! I lost €5000 because . I gonna look for law help about it! Cheating the customers !

Negative experience: As a non-resident landlord, I have complete trust in the MTS team to manage my properties with minimum intervention from me. They have ensured 100% tenancy for over six years and always manage tenant changes, servicing and repairs with the utmost efficiency. I will definitely entrust my future property acquisitions to the team with total confidence. Since MTS was taken over by Howley Souhan service levels dropped, mistakes were made, understandable during the transition period but not over the long term. The final straw were the excessive and unjustifiable maintenance charges taken without authorisation. I have since moved to another agent.

Negative experience: I am a landlord since the mid 90's & this is 1st time using MTS (or any letting agency for that matter). So far I have received very good advice, access to trades, very good comms and an overall excellent service, hence the 5*. EDIT I have changed my rating to 1 star as I have subsequently found out that I had been duped and this business cannot be trusted AT ALL. Beware

Fantastic experience: Louise has rented my apartment to numerous tenants over the years. She always comes up with excellent candidates at top speed! I am extremely impressed with her efficiency and caliber of clientele. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: I have strong reason to believe this property group is a scam. Or someone is at least pretending to be MTS to scam people. (Under the name Louise - +353 (1) 495 9020). Here's my story... PART I: I requested to view a property. They sent a video of it. I applied. I got the application approved. They said I needed to send the deposit and first months rent to secure the property. I said I wanted to view it in person first. They said they wanted the deposit. I said I wanted to view. Then they ignored me. (Very suspicious that they would not give me a viewing. Could it be because they don't have the key to the place?) PART II: My suspicions that they were a scam were confirmed. I went to a viewing today at a property managed by a reputable agency (solely managed, I might add). A few hours later I saw the same property I had just viewed posted online on Daft under MTS - for a higher price. The photos were blurred and clearly stolen from the original advert (the reputable agency has confirmed that these were their images). I would not be surprised if someone there in the queue took a video of the property to share with unsuspecting tenants later to scam them of deposit money. A normal agent is lazy - they do not immediately reply to you, nor are they on their phone at 2am in the morning, nor do you get approved for a flat in less than an hour of submitting an application. Home seekers beware. MTS is a scam. (And I have no doubt they will feign offence with this review...)

Negative experience: Service is very slow. Instructions were not clear. I was looking for my parking space for a few days after paying for a parking spot. They took money for the fob, but it is not needed for use of the parking. So the money were not returned, this issue was ignored. The car is insured for use by two people, only one was added to the system. The other person was rejected to get an access.

Negative experience: I lived in a property managed by MTS property for the past year. The professionalism and service demonstrated by this company was without a doubt the worst I have ever experienced. I would strongly advise anyone, both tenant and landlord, to avoid working with Louise and MTS properties at all cost. I’ve outlined below a few of the issues that myself and my housemates had throughout the year. -at the viewing of the apartment we specifically asked Louise if there was permit parking available on the street. She said there was. When we moved in and contacted the Dublin City Council they informed us that permit parking was not available for the street. - we moved into our apartment the week after viewing it. When we moved in the bathroom units had been torn out with the parts left in the shower/bath resulting in it being out of use. We immediately contacted MTS to get this sorted as there was 3 housemates sharing that bathroom. The company were impossible to contact and were dismissive and rude when we did get through to them. They didn’t arrange for a carpenter to come and complete the work until 3 months into our tenancy. all the while 4 tenants were sharing one small en-suite shower and toilet. -when we were first given on tenancy contract there was no documented landlord, when we asked for this to be adjusted they only wrote a first name. When we asked again could we get a document with the landlords official name they finally sent us a copy with a full name - to this date we’re still unsure whether this was the landlords real name. -when we moved in we also asked for contact details for the landlord, especially since MTS were so difficult to get in contact with. They refused. -electricity - despite asking multiple times for the electricity to be changed into one of the tenants names in order to pay the bills MTS did nothing to sort it. Eventually our electricity was cut-off. I contacted Louise on the ‘24/7 helpline’, I was considerably anxious because we needed refrigeration for medications. Louise hung up on me without offering any assistance and repeatedly told me I was harassing her. She proceeded to text one of my housemates and called me ‘abusive and aggressive’ this is probably the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever encountered. -we also requested information regarding the gas bills and how we could pay them, we were never given any information. -a week after moving out we contacted MTS in relation to our deposit. We were told that the deposit was in the landlords possession and assured that MTS would contact the landlord to arrange transfer. Two weeks later we still had not received our deposit despite regular emails and phone calls to MTS. It became evident that they had done nothing to contact the landlord. MTS were not only unhelpful, they were obstructive in our efforts to get our deposit back as they continued to refuse to provide contact details for the landlord, despite the fact that he was in possession of our deposit of over €3,000 -when we finally got in touch directly with the landlord (who emailed us as MTS never gave us his information) it came to light that many of our concerns had never been voiced to our landlord despite our request i.e. getting the electricity and gas bills changed to our name. Myself and my housemates had absolutely no issues with the landlord as soon as we got in contact and we received the deposit back promptly. MTS properties lacks any sort of transparency and were completely unprofessional during every interaction we had with them. It is a huge shame that our rental experience was tarnished by this company.

Negative experience: Don’t expect maintenance here for rentals. You will wait a whole day for an emergency if you’re lucky

Fantastic experience: I recently rented a property from MTS Property and had very smooth experience. The property was shown to me by Sara. Although she showed the property through a video, it was clear enough to make a decision. We were shown the property on a Friday and Sara was quick enough to prepare the paperwork and get the contract signed on the following Monday. She was also able to make some adjustments in the rent paying date according to our request. Will recommend Sara and MTS property to anyone.

Negative experience: Louise couldn’t show the apartment in a timely manner, causing lots of issues with landlord on the conditions of the apartment. Aside from that, everything was smooth and great.

Negative experience: I was renting a property from MTS from last 2 years and recently vacated the property. MTS deducted more than half of my deposit saying that land lady has deducted the money for sofa and bed. I kept everything in good condition and really disappointed to loose my deposit. I would not recommend their services to anyone. Doesn't matter how many pictures and videos of house and furniture you take before start of your tenancy, they can hold your deposit even if you keep everything in good order. Be careful!!

I live outside the country and have piece of mind that everything relating to the process for a new tenant and the normal maintenance and management of any issues are taken care of for a very reasonable fee structure.

Having rented in Dublin for the past 10 years I have to say they've been the best estate agents we've worked with. Any issues we had with the house were always dealt with very quickly. I found Louise and everyone in the office forthcoming and most importantly honest. I would have no hesistation in recommending MTS and the team there, when looking to buy or rent a property.

After that sent me an email saying that I had been selected and did not answer any more questions after several attempts to contact after all, I needed to be sure because there was a vacancy in the background. I never received any feedback. Bad service.

Negative experience: TLDR: MTS letting service is 4 stars and the property management is 3 stars but the reason I gave a star is for their record keeping and communications. MTS is a letting and property management company. I have used them for the last 8 years. For the first 6 years, everything went smoothly other than forgetting to forward me the invoices without reminders on my part. Then COVID hit and the service went downhill. The letting service is ok, they can find tenants. The letdown is the handover to the tenants may be subpar which led to my tenants getting clamped and WITHOUT my consent, the clamping fee was refunded at my expense to the tenants. Thus, I would say that they care more about the tenants rather than the landlord (their actual clients). The property management fees are reasonable but the service component is lacking. As mentioned, this was noticeable since COVID, and I am not sure if it is staff turnover. Some of the issues faced include wrong items charged to me, repairs done without my consent and no invoices for repairs given to me until I asked (repeatedly). I understand that things take a little longer as many were working from home but some items took months to resolve and many many email correspondences. This is certainly not my idea of a property agent and keeping track of the various items make it feel like I am managing the managing agent. Is it still worth paying fees for this?

Negative experience: MTS LEFT PPL WITH A BROKEN FRONT WINDOW FOR OVER 2 WEEKS BEFORE THEY FIXED IT! THEY ARE NOT GOOD AGENCY! HOW CAN ANY DECENT AGENCY TREAT SOMEONE WHO MAINTAINS A HOUSE AND PAYS ON TIME THIS WAY???. YOUR INDUSTRY REGULATORS SHOULD STOP YOU FROM PRACTICING AND RUINING THE INDUSTRY FOR THE OTHER GOOD PEOPLE! 90% of your positive reviews are from your friends and family.... Negative experience: There was supposed to be an open viewing for an apartment in the oaks, stepaside on Friday at 1pm. I took the half day off work and showed up at 1pm, then when I looked at the website the time had changed to 3pm. I waited until 4pm and no one from MTS properly showed up. Highly unprofessional I couldn’t imagine what they’d be like to rent off. Avoid at all cost!!

Negative experience: Highly recommend avoiding this agency. I just had a very unpleasant phone call with louise. I am honestly disgusted that she put the phone down on me mid sentence. I was simply stating that i have arrived at the oaks Park View Stepaside, for the 'open viewing', and there was no one here. I rang to check which apartment it was and I was told that there was never an advert for an 'open viewing. When I questioned this... I was met with an absolutely rude response about how there was never an open viewing arranged for here and I should wait my turn to revieve an email timed slot. That was before I started to say that I am a nurse, and have left work for an hour to view this property. Instead of an apology or explanation, I got hung up on. I have a screenshot of the advert for the 'open viewing'. The time origionally stated 1pm, then changed just now to 3pm.

Negative experience: Asked to come to a viewing with less than 30 minutes notice and another with less than 60 minutes notice. Then requested another time, no response. Poor service. They asked me to leave a review in the email they sent inviting me to a viewing so this isn't fake FYI.
