Negative experience: we had the MISFORTUNE to employ bracken estates as our letting agent for our home in Enniskerry . PLEASE TAKE TIME TO READ THIS . we moved to the US thinking our home was in good hands and how wrong we were . we had to arrange from abroad a plumber to call to our home as we were told by bracken estates they did not have a plumber on their books . their response to any work needed in our house was at the very least dreadful and slow and as a result we arranged it from the US ourselves . mr david bracken was dealing mainly with my wife and i would doubt he would have behaved as such if he were dealing with a man or if we were not abroad , when the tenant was leaving we ask him could he meet with them to make sure all bills was paid and our house was in the condition we left it . The response from him was no he was not going to do that and in his words our relationship was over . So we were left high and dry by this man . i intend to take further legal action on this when i am back home . paul white

Fantastic experience: Bracken Estates were the agent for my landlord, so I dealt with them whenever something needed doing at my property in Ranelagh. I was in touch with them once or twice a year maybe, with issues that needed attending to. Jeff and Lynette were always extremely helpful, getting things sorted fast. They would sometimes contact me to see if I was available to let in tradespeople and what not. They were my landlord's agents for my entire 12 year or so tenancy and were amazing. I'd recommend them if you are a landlord as they certainly were great with us tenants. Now that my landlord has sold the building, I've had to move and I'll miss these guys! Fantastic experience: I just purchased a lovely home for my own personal residence through Bracken Estates. They acted as both the Selling agent for the Landlord and well as the Letting agent for the property that I bought. I found that the property was managed well. It is very clean, and everything is in very good working order. More importantly, the process of purchasing this home for myself was very straightforward. The bidding process on DAFT was fair and very transparent for all to see. David, Jeff and Ryan are true gentlemen being courteous, extremely helpful and impeccably professional. After my initial booking deposit was received, they allowed me to access the home on several occasions with architects and builders to inspect, measure and plan some rather complex internal alterations …all before I signed the contracts to purchase! That’s trust! Therefore, I would not hesitate to have Bracken Estates manage any rental property or sell my home in the future. These guys are excellent!

Fantastic experience: I have been a tenant for 6 years in my current place and they are the agent that I am dealing with. I never had any issues. Every time something broke down, it was dealt with promptly. No problem on rent or no surprise visits from the landlord. They were super helpful when I advised that I will be leaving but I was not too sure when, as I was in the process of buying my place. If I needed to stay extra I could too. I had my fair share of "unfair" (word not strong enough) landlord and its a nice change for once. Jeff and Lynette are both excellent to deal with.

His only get out is to pretend he had no dealings with people leaving these reviews but look how many there are and look how little properties he has,speaks volumes. AVOID

From the viewings through the rent negotiations to picking up the key, everything was handled in a friendly, yet professional manner all the way through. While living in the property, any snags or problems with the fittings, etc., were dealt with quickly and to a high standard. I would heartily recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I've been living in a Bracken Estates property for nearly two years and it has been a great experience thus far. I've lived in three different places in Dublin and this has been hands down the best experience among them. Besides the property itself being great value, particularly for its location, they've demonstrated duty of care, which is a nice human quality to have in a landlord. Any and all of my issues were tended to promptly (i.e. broken washer, blown bulb, etc) and the serviceman is knowledgeable, efficient, and nice. I've talked with Mr. Bracken personally on a few occasions and he has shown a genuine interest in improving the property for the tenants - something increasingly uncommon here in Dublin.

Negative experience: Please don't rent from them, they are the worst agent I ever meet. Hi did not give my deposit back after proper one mount announcement, he said that I left the house dirty end he spend over 300 to put the place back to normal. Its completely not true.This is my 5 house end I never had any issue. Please avoid Bracken Estates. They should be close down.

Negative experience: RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM THIS SO CALLED PROPERTY MANAGEMENT FIRM My sister and I paid David Bracken to find a tenant and for property management services last year and not a bigger regret could we have. Thankfully, the year management contract with this company is finally ended and we will most definitely not be requesting that he manage our property ever again going forward. In fairness, he did find a really good tenant in reasonable time but given the apartment was in perfect condition and located in Rathgar, I am sure any other agent could have done similar. However, what we, as his paying clients, could have done without is his arrogant, pompous attitude when asking him to address any issues highlighted by our tenant throughout the previous year. While my sister had most of the dealings with David Bracken, I could not believe the mean tone outlined in his email replies to her which she shared with me. It is lucky for us that we do have a good relationship with our tenant and have worked together to resolve any property issues and will continue to do so directly going forward. Dare a home owner ever disagree with David Bracken or point out that you are not receiving the services for which you paid and expected, because you will then see his very nasty side. My words of advice, do as we are doing and stay away from this firm unless you wish to do the work which he is paid to address AND have the unpleasant experience in dealing with his horrible attitude. I am sure he will not allow this review be posted to his facebook page as only ‘5 star’ ratings appear to be allowed there by David Bracken.
